Description

The “ViUro® 500 Classic” closed system urine meter is a urine collection system designed to ensure effective and safe monitoring of the patient’s urine output. It is equipped with a 500 ml collection and measuring chamber, a 2000 ml collection bag, and a “T” drainage valve. Made of biocompatible medical-grade material, latex-free and compliant with hygienic safety standards, it is ideal for use in hospital or healthcare settings.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1.Device preparation:
Check the integrity of the package before use, wash hands thoroughly, and wear disposable gloves. Remove the device from the sterile packaging, avoiding direct contact with the internal components.

2.Connection to the catheter:
Ensure that the catheter connector is clean and free from impurities. Connect the device tubing to the catheter using the needle-free sampling port to ensure a secure and sterile connection. Make sure the connector is firmly attached, avoiding kinks or twists in the tubing.

3.Device positioning:
Hang the device using the integrated hanger on the side of the bed or stretcher. Ensure that the bag is positioned below bladder level to promote gravity drainage. Use the Clip-on Connecting Pip to secure the tubing and prevent kinking or traction.

4.Urine collection:
The system is designed to allow continuous monitoring of diuresis. The 500 ml graduated chamber enables accurate monitoring of the collected urine volume. Periodically check for proper urine flow and ensure there are no obstructions.

5.Bag emptying:
When the bag approaches its maximum capacity (2000 ml), place a container under the drainage valve. Turn the T-valve to the open position, allow urine to drain while keeping the valve open until completely emptied, then return the valve to the closed position to prevent leakage.
