BERICAH FOR SOCIAL CAUSES,
INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
Bericah S.p.A. works hard to ensure certainty for users of its devices in terms of protection, prevention, and safety, but not only that.
For years, in fact, the company based in Vicenza has also been involved in social initiatives by providing concrete support to national and international organizations engaged in assisting people in need, combating illiteracy and diseases, protecting the environment, promoting scientific research and dissemination, and addressing drug addiction and youth distress.
The company’s contributions to schools, associations, non-profit organizations, parishes, nursing homes, and other contexts add to the support provided to the local community.
In 2020, during the pandemic, Bericah S.p.A. donated over 70,000 disposable gloves to the Civil Protection of Vicenza, which were distributed to families, offices, and schools, along with face masks and hand sanitizers.
This was a valuable support during a period filled with difficulties and shortages of these important protective and preventive devices against the spread of Covid-19.
Another significant donation was made in 2021 to the PKKII institute, an institution in Malaysia that provides care for children and young people with brain injuries.

Social Accountability 8000
At Bericah S.p.A., we have also chosen to protect human rights throughout our supply chain.
We have done so through Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000), the first international standard designed to improve working conditions for people on various issues such as discrimination, health and safety in the workplace, fair compensation and working hours, freedom of association and disciplinary procedures, and the fight against child labor and forced labor.
At Bericah S.p.A., we encourage dialogue and continuous improvement at all levels through suggestions, complaints, and other appropriate company tools such as meetings and gatherings. Points of contact for addressing these issues include the Social Performance Team, responsible for collecting reports and defining actions to resolve issues related to compliance with the standards set by SA8000, and the Health and Safety Committee for assessing internal risks within the organization.
The reason Bericah S.p.A. has adopted this important international standard is to ensure the daily promotion and protection of the rights of those who work within the company and those who collaborate with us externally, such as our suppliers.
With SA8000, we commit to reducing risks in professional environments, creating continually better working conditions, involving everyone in social responsibility, improving collaboration with suppliers, and ensuring their adherence to the principles of the standard.
Our company’s commitment also includes raising awareness among individuals and businesses collaborating with Bericah S.p.A. to not underestimate or tolerate the two social scourges of child labor and forced labor. We ask our staff to report any non-compliance, and we commit to transparently disseminating all information contained in the current legislation, providing clarifications to anyone interested in explanations or further details.
In addition to the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, at Bericah S.p.A., we pledge to combat unjustifiable disciplinary measures and strive for a sustainable work schedule. These commitments are explicitly communicated during the hiring process and displayed within the company to be visible to all.
Bericah S.p.A. has adhered to the principles and objectives of SA8000 in the fight against discrimination based on social class, race, origin, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, union membership, or political affiliation.

L’impegno della nostra azienda è anche quello di sensibilizzare le persone e le imprese che collaborano con Bericah S.p.A. a non sottovalutare o assecondare due piaghe sociali quali il lavoro minorile e quello forzato. Chiediamo infatti al nostro personale di segnalare qualsiasi non conformità e ci impegniamo a diffondere con totale trasparenza tutte le informazioni contenute nella vigente legislazione in materia, fornendo anche eventuali chiarimenti a chi fosse interessato a spiegazioni o approfondimenti.
Alla libertà di associazione e al diritto alla contrattazione collettiva, in Bericah S.p.A. aggiungiamo il nostro impegno contro provvedimenti disciplinari ingiustificati e per un orario di lavoro sostenibile, comunicato esplicitamente durante l’assunzione ed esposto in azienda così da essere visibile a tutti.
Bericah S.p.A. ha aderito ai principi e al raggiungimento degli obiettivi della SA8000 anche nella lotta alla discriminazione in base a ceto, razza, origine, religione, invalidità, sesso, età, orientamento sessuale, appartenenza sindacale o affiliazione politica.
